No! Peloton does not require any previous experience on an outdoor bike. The great thing about Peloton is we believe anyone and everyone can enjoy indoor cycling. Whether you are an experienced cyclist, or you haven’t ridden a bike since you were ten years old, Peloton is for you!

Riders should wear or bring athletic clothing to change into and a water bottle. We provide complimentary cycling shoes; we use the SPD Shimano mountain bike cleats. 4. How should I prepare for my first class at Peloton?

Come with your great energy and erase any expectations that you might have. Please arrive 15 minutes before class, this will allow you to sign the waiver and to get properly set up on the bike with the help of our staff. It will also give you a chance to acquaint yourself with the studio and the other members.

5. What can I expect from my first couple of visits?

Peloton is a dedicated indoor cycling studio and we are committed to offering you the best indoor cycling class each and every time. The studio is intimate, the classes are carefully crafted to give you the best ride of your life, the instructors are approachable and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is open and inviting. Indoor cycling is non-competitive; if you are just starting out remember that it will take a few weeks to build up your fitness level to work hard for the whole class. Keep in mind that it is important to honour your body and work at a lower intensity as you get more comfortable with indoor cycling. You are always in control of the resistance dial and we appeal to every rider's needs. It's your workout; the level of intensity is yours to choose.

6. What is the 'virtual ride'?

Discover some of the world’s best-kept secrets with "virtual ride". Feel the cars passing by as you cycle up vast mountains, hear the sounds of the cheers as you sprint past your opponent, and smell the victory as you cross the finish line. These classes allow you to experience the scenery while controlling the environment in which you ride.

7. I really enjoyed cycling. Can my adolescent children join me for a class?

We welcome all age groups. Any minor participant can ride at Peloton when accompanied by the parent/guardian along with a signed waiver. The only requirement is that they need to be able to fit on the bike and reach the pedals. Please inform Peloton if you are bringing a minor to class.

8. Will indoor cycling help me lose weight? Will my legs get large?

Indoor cycling will help you shed pounds and lower your body fat if done regularly and in combination with a healthy diet. A rider can burn up to 800 calories in a single class but the average is about 500 calories. (Peloton offers varying lengths of classes so the calories burnt will differ within each class). It is a low impact fantastic cardio exercise regime leading to a more energized and healthier life.
